Plant Ecology and Evolution is an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to ecology, phylogenetics, and systematics of all "plant" groups in the traditional sense (including algae, cyanobacteria, fungi, and myxomycetes), also covering related fields (full scope). Submissions concerning (sub)tropical Africa are particularly welcome. The journal is published by Meise Botanic Garden and the Royal Botanical Society of Belgium and its Impact Factor is 1.119. From 1st January 2019, all articles are published in Open Access under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) without any charges to authors.
